Landileigh Lee Nelson

“Landi” peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, early morning on January 10th, 2023. She was so happy to have made it to her 60th birthday.

Landi was born in Oakland, California. She earned a bachelor's degree from Hayward State University. Landi was married in 1987 and raised a daughter, Holly. Landi was a speaker for the JDRF. Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. She helped others lead better lives with Diabetes.

Landi commanded the attention of the room whenever she entered. She was multi-faceted and a multitasker. Landi knew how to knit and sew. She was also a big reader. She would read 2 or 3 books weekly. She read nearly a hundred books a year. Landi was fluent in sign language. She helped deaf high school students understand lectures while in class. Landi was known for her positive attitude and kindness. She was able to find something each day to be thankful for.

Landi is preceded in death by her Mother Pat. Landi is survived by her husband of 35 years, Chuck. Also survived by her daughter Holly and stepfather Frank.
