Hali Marie Boeh

Hali Marie Boeh of Sacramento, California passed away peacefully on 11 March 2023 at the age of 64, with her son and best friend Jill by her side. She was born 20 April 1958, in Salinas, California to Lawrence and Bonnie Boeh. The youngest of four siblings, she moved to Sacramento in the 80s to be the first in her family to attend and graduate college. She received her Masters in Communications from CSU, Sacramento. Hali dedicated her professional life to teaching. She taught English, Debate, and Drama at the high school and college level for over 25 years, inspiring countless students to find and explore their passions. Hali enjoyed life, and loved travelling, cooking, theater and musicals, classic films, and spending time with her family and friends. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Hali spent a year abroad in London studying theater and literature, and spent time traveling through France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. Hali was an archetype extrovert, who’s energy and charisma could light up a room; a light that was put out too soon. Hali is survived by her son, Baxter Boeh-Sobon, siblings Larry and Gerlyn (a.k.a Divina) Boeh, and many cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Christopher Boeh. A memorial service will be held at the end of April 2023 in Sacramento, CA. For details, please email halibservice@gmail.com.
